Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance the existing payment gateway APIs for partners/acquiring banks for various markets.
  • Need to design robust business logic including error handling.
  • Develop solutions that are sustainable in the long term in terms of security, performance and user experience.
  • In-house development of services offered by Novalnet such as Subscription Management, Risk Management, Instalment Management to provide better scaling benefits to vendors.
  • Integrate partner asynchronous notifications, daily files to reconcile and keep the system synchronised.
  • Working and brainstorming on ideas to create innovative payment solutions.
  • Troubleshooting or updating the existing payment engine based on the customer’s request or customisation.
  • Liaise with the payment partner or have a clear understanding of the documentation to clinically understand and implement the API connectivity.
  • Monitor the ongoing alerts, notifications and analyse the results to improve the solution or conversion rate.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in payment gateway interface or banking solutions.
  • Ability to understand documentation, product workings.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and high level understanding of how payment systems work in the background.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful, SOAP web services.
  • Strong knowledge of OOPS concepts, MySQL and any of the server side languages such as PHP/PERL/Python.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and a good team player.
  • Possess exceptional time management skills to meet project deadlines.
